Described on Ebay as a rare Vintage 1925 Chevrolet Chevy Phone Both Cab Truck, it has just sold for $8,000.
The details were.......
Obama economy forces sale. I am trying to keep my family car dealership (Dorsey Chevrolet) that has been in business since 1925 afloat which forces me to sell the first truck my grandfather ever sold in 1925. When my grandfather retired in 1960 he went on a mission to find this truck as he had a hunch where it was. In a few days he brought it home. He then completely restored it and it has sat most of the last 50 years in a showroom except when it's running in parades. It's in very good condition considering it's 88 years old. Runs, stops, and drives great. Everything works including all lights and electrical. Has electric or hand crank start. Has original 1925 Idaho title. This is a great truck with a lot of sentimental history but keeping the business open is more important to me than the truck. Not many of these wood spoke wheeled trucks surviving any more.
The purpose of this Blog
This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".
The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.
Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.
If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.
Thanks for dropping by.

I’m sure this would sell really big. I hope it would be enough to cover all of the owner’s financial needs. Well, it better. Selling anything that’s close to being a family heirloom is a big loss just thinking of the sentimental value it holds. And it looks to be refurbished pretty well. It looks like it just came out of the factory, to be honest!
