The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

A 1928 Sedan looking for a new home

If I had the available funds this great opportunity would have my name on it already, but alas I am only dreaming.

Just found this on eBay, begging for someone to take it home and bring it back to life.

The eBay posting is as follows

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevrolet-Other-AB-1928-chevrolet-ab-2-door-sedan-solid-rust-free-body-great-street-rod-project-n-r-/151104735858?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item232e8b4a72&vxp=mtr

SAME REGISTERED OWNER SINCE 1941. HAS BEEN STORED 40-50 YEARS. VERY SOLID BODY. GREAT FOUNDATION FOR A STREET ROD OR PROJECT CAR, HAS ALL ORIGINAL METAL. INTERIOR FLOORS ARE VERY GOOD, UNDERSIDE IS VERY GOOD. CAR IS NOT RUNNING, SOLD AS A PROJECT CAR, COMES WITH CLEAN TRANSFERABLE REGISTRATION.

  3. Wow, this car is definitely a nice project piece! Although finding the parts will be hard work, which will make some buyers shy away from it. Nevertheless, this sedan looks good despite its age. Hope it has already found a new home!
