Monty and the Red Chev out Cruzin

Met up with Grant Fowler and Monty http://montythe1928chevrolet.blogspot.com.au/ at Longwarry this morning for a breakfast run back to Melbourne. Grant continued on to Malvern to see his brother, while the Red Chev turned onto East Link for the last leg home.

Both old Chevs ran very well considering there was a bugger of a cross wind up and back. This made any speed much above 80 k's uncomfortable.

Could not resist passing Grant at one stage, just to be able to say "This is the first 28 Chev I have passed on the open road in 40 years".

Conditions were warm, getting very hot, and suspect poor old Grant may have a bot of wind and sun burn when he gets back to down town Trafalgar later on today.

The Red Chev did a return trip of 101 miles, and by the time Grant gets home he would be getting pretty close to 150 miles. Not a bad effort for an old banger found under a tree in 1969, and on its original engine.

Let the summer cruising season begin.
