This particular '28 Chevrolet AB Convertible Sport Cabriolet has benefitted from an older frame up restoration and presents itself extremely well today. This car had been with the same owner for many years in Medford, OR during the first stages of use and later restoration. The paint on the car is in very good condition with only a few minor spots where there are some minor chips or blemishes. The final two year mechanical restoration has been completed in Eugene, OR under my care and personal involvement. This work included complete engine and transmission rebuild ( professional machine shops new or NOS parts were used). All brakes, wheel bearing, seals, etc. were overhauled or made new. All fenders and body are original steel with little or no repairs necessary. There is a full size spare on the rear support, and new tires all around on original split rims. The black vinyl or imitation leather top and rumble seat area, and interior show no rips or tears and look great. The dash has been painted to match the exterior. Gauges work, including the optional face wind clock. Under the hood the inline overhead valve 171 Cu.In. engine starts with ease, and is connected to the new clutch, pressure plate, 3 speed transmission, and enclosed driveline as per original design. The optional wood spoke wheels have all been stained and sealed to match the car and look and operate smoothly. The engine compartment is clean, painted, and looks original.
