Chev Speedster (Any body heard of a Gow Job) from the 30's

Found this on Ebay

Listed as a 28 Chev , but apart from a 28 engine the rest of the car looks early 20's. I have never heard of  a Gow Job, so if anyone has any information would love to hear from you.

The posting reads as follows (with great pictures by the way)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevrolet-Other-Open-Top-1928-chevy-gow-job-pre-hot-rod-/261422073802?forcerrptr=true&hash=item3cddf847ca&item=261422073802&pt=US_Cars_Trucks

This is registered as a 1928 Chevy Speedster, its a Pre Hot Rod, called a Gow Job, 35 hp engine, 3 speed, runs and drives great, even in the snow. This is your opportunity to own a piece of Hot Rod history, there is history, lore, and tall tales of Gow Jobs that explain the obscure origin of the term ‘hot rod’.  These cars were built with parts back in the 1930's for weekend racing, check out the American Hot Rod Foundation web site to learn more about these race cars and their origin.
