Just to show nothing is new, here is a V8 engine, 97 years old.
In 1917 Chevrolet manufactured the Series D V8 engine with 288 cubic inches, overhead valves, crossflow heads, 55 HP… and it was manufactured 38 years before the small-block Chevrolet engine.
