The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

The Red Chev Helps Out a Cousin in The United Kingdom

Received an email from Jacqueline about a week or so back.

Her father needed to find a crown wheel and pinion for his 28 Chev sedan.



After a bit of searching with no success I was happy to help out with a NOS part that I tucked away in the man cave way back in the 1980's.








The parcel should almost be in Somerset by now 18th July 2014.

    Hi Ray,
    The crown wheel and pinion arrived today, safe and sound. Dad said you must of had the week off to pack it as well as you did :)) much appreciated.

    Well now to get it fitted...... sure you don't fancy a visit to the UK to lend a hand ......

    We will definately keep in touch and send you pics that you may find of interest when the crown wheel is fitted. Thanks again.
