Update - 1938 Cadillac Series 90 V16 Convertible Coupe being restored in OZ

Two years have passed since the original posting on the 1938 Cadillac Series 90 V16 Convertible Coupe of Irwin Sinclair, and in this time Irwin has made significant progress with the body work.

Looking at what has been done since the last posting, you can see the attention to detail that has the Caddy almost ready for a coat of primer.

The driver's side rear guard was original

John King a good friend of Irwin has remade most of the passenger side guards rear section due to the original guard being too badly damaged. The front half section was the only section of the original guard re used.   

Yes, it is  a long way from the rear to the front

 As I mentioned it in the first posting the chassis is enormous, and looks way ahead of it's time.

Progress has been made inside the cabin, with insulation and cover plates installed

The V16 power plant

Irwin conducted 2 tours of the man cave, with no shortage of participants for both.

Both front guards only require to be prepared now for painting in the future.

The doors on the Caddy close clean and precise

Next step, tail lights

 Irwin showed how easily the soft top frame closes and hides its self behind the front seat
