The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

1915 Baby Grand Chev (Original & Running)

Found this little gem on ebay

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1915-Chevrolet-Baby-Grand-Touring-/281432279902?pt=AU_Cars&hash=item4186abcb5e

One of the most original 1915 Chev's left in the world, this Baby Grand tourer is in original unrestored condition and gets more attention at a rally than any other car I own! It has been gone through mechanically including new brakes, ignition & carbie work, king pins, radiator clean, new 34 x 4 1/2 tyres, tubes & rust bands, runs and drives.

The motor is a little rattly (#3 big end will need some work). some spares including an additional Connecticut ignition switch, and spare guards and valances. Currently on Club registration (not transferable).

I have heaps of photos of the car which we can send upon request, you only get to upload several photos on EBay so please ask if you want to see more, thanks. Car is located in Mudgee, NSW, Australia.
