1925 Chev found in a chicken shed

Ron Ludford's 1925 Chevrolet, California

This great looking old Chevy was found in a chicken shed in 2006. The owner put it in the shed in 1953 after his tour in Korea. He planned to fix it up but never got around to it. We had to cut down a couple of trees that had grown in front of the chicken shed door to get her out.

I overhauled the engine, put a new clutch plate in it, scrounged some used tires, re-upholstered the seats, and replaced the running... boards.

A little history; the car was built in Oakland, went to its first owner in Foresthill, California, and then came to Auburn in 1953. I am now the third owner and we enjoy taking her out for a spin often.

We recently took her to the Race of the Gentlemen here on the west coast in Pismo Beach, 16th October.
