1928 Chevy National 4 Door Sedan. Off road for approximately last 40 years. Classic barn find story. Man buys car, tears motor apart, with thoughts of rebuilding, sits forever. Man becomes ill, passes away and here we are. Bought this with intentions of making a rat rod with steelies and a small block chevy, however, my wife was not as enthusiastic as I was. I am a 29 year member of the happy wife club, and wishing to remain a member, this car is now for sale. It appears, except for motor being removed and disassembled, this car is complete and untouched. Has most likely been stored indoors for its entire life. Body is absolutely rock solid, with only surface rust, no rust outs, pin holes or thin spots. Underneath, frame and underbody is extremely solid. Wood structure is complete, showing no signs of rotting, even underneath. Only pieces missing are radiator cap and ignition key. This is the perfect platform to start your project any way you wish to finish it. Encourage anyone wishing to bid to come inspect the car. Tried to take as may pictures as possible. If there is any thing you wish to see or have questions, contact me through ebay. BUY IT NOW for $4,500.00 with a modest reserve. $200 pay pal deposit, balance paid in CASH ONLY upon pickup. Receipt and title to be provided upon pickup. Car has a clean, clear, and current Iowa title in my name. Car will be sold. Thanks for looking.
The purpose of this Blog
This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".
The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.
Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.
If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.
Thanks for dropping by.
