The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

Graeme's 28 Aussie Chev

Graeme from Bonegilla in Victoria contacted me with the great story about his 28 Chev that he has done an excellent job on the restoration so far, but I will let Graeme tell the story

Hi Ray, just a few pics of the chevy, this car was purchased new by my grandfather in western Vic, my dad and aunty were both born in the car ,nearly 60 years ago my grandfather passed away and I’m not sure how long before that the car was put into a shed, it has not moved in all that time and you can see by all the crap that has been piled on top of it, I got the car out of that shed tried to pump up the tyres and the back tyres stayed up but the front were to perished,I thought that was pretty good for all that time , the car has been at my place for about 10 or so years , I have had a lot of the car repaired and I just need a few more things done and it should be ready for the road , any way I will keep you up date with how things go

Thanks Graeme
