The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

Friday morning and its off to Gippsland in the Red Chev

Took the Red Chev for a run up to see Grant and Monty at Trafalgar, car went very well, no issues or concerns.

Grants following posting from his facebook page says it all

"Today Ray Dean and his "Red Chev" rolled into our Signshop at 10.30 for morning smoko, but due to the higher than normal level of "sour milk", long life to, in the brew room fridge which I am blaming the hot weather on, we rescheduled brew over to our house...
With some Chevy spare parts dropped off, Ray quickly was back on the hwy, heading into a strong westerly for the 140km trip back home...
From all reports the old Chevy went well as only could expected from such an immaculately kept vehicle... To shiny for me ;-)"

  2. Hey Grant,

Try opening the can of polish first, it helps.

    Cheers
