The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

Aussie Chev would be a great project

Found this on Ebay.

Would be a good project, and the Ebay blurb reads......

Sadly I have to say goodbye to this beautiful 92 year Chevrolet Tourer (Series K).

2.8L 4-Cylinder
3 speed manual

This old girl has a massive 26hp at 2000rpm
Does NOT run!
In 'as is' condition

You are buying a project

Surface rust, no holes. Wooden floors.

I would have loved to see this on the road, however I don't have the time or money to do so. It would also look great in a museum or as garden art. The possibilities are endless.
What you see is what you get.

Selling due to too many projects and lack on interest.
Serious bidders only!
ONLY bid if you're willing to buy!
No time wasters!

Located in Rye on the Mornington Peninsula.
Inspections welcome
