The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

1927 Chev in need of some love

Found this on Aussie Ebay

1927 Chev Buckboard
Was originally a tourer cut down during WW2 to use on a farm in Tasmania
I bought from original owner, 10 years ago, who was still driving it around the farm
When I went to pick it up he tried to put new rings in for me which is why engine is out of car - original engine is included

Been in dry storage all of its life
Comes with spare engine and gear box
Does not come with number plates

Photos form part of the description
Inspections welcomed and recommended - located in Werribee
