The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

The Red Chev attends another wedding

Its Saturday the 11th of January, and the weather was perfect for the wedding of Terry and Josie's daughter.

Terry and Josie are fellow members of the Dandenong Valley Historic Car Club and it was a pleasure to be part of a great day.

The bride and her bride's maids looked beautiful.

The Red Chev joined Terry's 29 Chevy for transporting the bride and bridesmaids to the church, after which the newly weds were chauffeured in a bit more luxury, in a classic Rolls Royce.

What a fine sight the Rolls and 2 Vintage Chevs looked travelling through Melbourne to the Fitzroy Gardens and other locations for photos.

Very pleased to report that all three cars were on their best behaviour and performed their duty without a hitch.
