The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

Vintage Cars Photos From Way Back in 1910

Now lets me set the scene on some of these first few pictures. Its 1910, the Titanic is just a skeleton being built in the ship yard, and the first world war was still some years away.

In America the Civil war veterans now be in 60's are still proudly marching every year.

And the automobile is only some 10 years and a bit old.

The haunting thing is that not only is every one in these pictures no longer with us, but every one who knew them is also. If not they would have to be at least 112 years old.
