The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

Chevrolet Superior model F tourer 1924

I found this on https://www.facebook.com/oldclassiccar?ref=stream&hc_location=stream

Advertised on UK Ebay is a New Zealand RHD 24 Chev, imported into the UK and now for sale.

My question to anyone who knows is

Were the early RHD Chevs in NZ made there or imported from Australia, like most later NZ cars were from GM and Ford.

The description on the Ebay add is as follows:

This car was imported to the UK from New Zealand, hence is RHD
It is in good running order. Recent brake overhaul, including new drums and shoes relined. Cylinder head rebuilt (invoice available). Good interior(although dusty).
Some paintwork repair needed-please see picture.
Hood and side screens with vehicle but hood needs repair.
Not used since last MOT and now MOT exempt. Tax to Nov 2013.
Viewing welcome before sale ends.
Can possibly help with delivery.
