How many of us have had the anghiush, embarrashment or upset of our vintage pride and joy being brought home on the back of a tow truck.
In my case it has only been 2 times in 39 years, but both times were behind a modern truck or on the back of a flat bed truck.
Imagine back in the days when our cars were younger, if they came home behind one of these machines posted below.
You know, it would not have made any difference as we would not have known any better.
But what a hoot it would be now if our broken down vintage came home behind one of these babies.
Now that would make a great photo.
The purpose of this Blog
This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".
The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.
Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.
If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.
Thanks for dropping by.
Regards Ray Dean
