The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

1927 Chev Truck in need of TLC

From Ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1927-chevy-heavy-duty-truck-/110951773913?forcev4exp=true#v4-39

1927 chevy truck original wooden spokes heavy duty frame with heavy rear leaf springs and rear end. Truck starts and runs. The frame looks strong with just surface rust, the photos show rust in door bottoms and you get an idea about the rest of the trucks condition, With the length of frame and the heavy springs and rear end it was more than just a pickup. Its a great old original truck that needs restoring and from the cab foward all there, doors, hood, fenders, lights ,grill etc. its a great start.
