The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

From Ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1928-Chevrolet-1-Ton-Truck-Pickup-/271065148247?forcev4exp=true#v4-41

One Ton Chevrolet truck in excellant original condition. The engine is free and may start. It has the crank, but is also electric start. The review mirror is in the truck. The only parts that are missing is the headlight benzell, missing one wooden spoke wheel, but has a steel wheel in it place, glass in the doors, but all door hardware is present, one wood section in the steering wheel, easy to make a new one. The truck seat is not original but the back of the seat is original. The wood cab is complete. The pictures clearly show the condition.  The truck has been stored inside all of its life. No rust out, the radiator is in perfect condition.
